Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form of legal protection for consumers who suffer losses due to goods received not being in accordance with the description in online buying and selling transactions. This research uses a normative legal research method with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The legal materials consist of primary legal materials in the form of legislation, particularly Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, as well as secondary legal materials such as books, journals, and relevant scientific articles. The results show that consumers have the right to comfort, security, and accurate information regarding the goods being traded. Business actors who provide incorrect information may be held legally responsible in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Dispute resolution efforts may be pursued through litigation and non-litigation channels, including through the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency.
